traditional window cleaning
Posted | Comments OffReachclean cleaning services believes traditional window cleaning methods still has a firm place within the industry despite the widespread use of the Water Fed Window Cleaning Poles.
It is not always practical to use water fed window cleaning poles on every contract. In certain instances, for example, inside office buildings, houses or places where water cannot be drained, traditional cleaning methods such as V-shaped ladders, micro fibre pads, squeegees, mops, scrims and micro cloths and other professional window cleaning equipment become the methods of choice.
A micro fibre pad washes the window and then a hand held squeegee is used to remove the cleaning fluid or water from a glass surface. A soapy solution acts as a lubricant and breaks up the dirt, then the squeegee is used to draw the now water-borne dirt off the glass. A clean micro cloth and scrim fine detail the window leaving a perfectly clean and streak free surface.
By using extention ladders and specially designed V-shape ladders we are able to clean windows to heights in excess of 30 feet from ground level. Our fully trained staff will assess each individual job to determine the safe position of all ladders and make sure no ground or wall surface is damaged in the process. In cases where the floor surface is slippery or uneven the use of a stability device like a rojak stopper is used. The stopper is an anti slip device ladder stabiliser. It consists of a high quality aluminium T-piece bonded to a covering of vulcanised rubber. It is this internal plate that increases the grip on the ground, and also stops the ladder from “flipping” as the aluminium upright prevents the stiles from rotating.
All staff are highly trained and experienced in the use of ladders and have undergone the relevant and appropriate health and safety courses, in 50 years using traditional window cleaning methods we are proud to say there has never been a problem we haven’t been able to resolve. Our clients can be assured that the safest method is being used at all times.
We have worked hard to build a reputation for delivering the very highest standards and first class customer service.
